Discovering Pedra Furada Island

We spent a day exploring the Península de Maraú coastline, hitting spots most people skip: Ilha da Pedra Furada with its massive natural stone arch, the quiet beaches at Campinhos, and Goio Island where we had the sand basically to ourselves. The plan was simple—follow the coast, see what we find, and end up somewhere good for sunset.

Spoiler: we found cacau honey juice, incredibly fresh fish at Meridiano 35, and a sky-on-fire sunset that made the whole day worth it. Here's how it went down.

"From hollow stone arches to sunset over fresh fish—this is what happens when you follow the Bahia coastline and see where it takes you."

Meridiano 35 - delicious food.

After dinner we headed back to the boat for Campinhos. The sun was setting on the way back, lighting up the whole coastline in orange and yellow. We just sat there and watched it happen from the water. Best part of the day.
