We were honored to welcome Feeding San Diego as our guest speaker to learn about their vital mission to end hunger in our community through innovative food rescue programs. Their team shared how they rescue millions of pounds of fresh, nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and distribute it to families in need throughout San Diego County. The presentation highlighted the growing food insecurity challenge in our region and the practical ways Rotarians can get involved—from volunteering at distribution sites to organizing food drives. It was an inspiring reminder of how strategic partnerships and community action can make a real difference in addressing one of our most pressing local issues.
